The RF connector has a relatively short history compared to other electronic component. The first RF connectors were UHF connectors that appeared in 1930.
During the World War II period, due to the urgent need for war, with the development of radar, radio and Microwave Communications, the N, C, BNC, TNC, and other medium-sized series were produced. After 1958, small-sized products such as SMA, SMB, SMC appeared, in 1964, the US military standard MIL-C-39012"general specification for RF coaxial connectors" was formulated. Since then, RF connectors began to develop toward standardization, serialization and generalization.
